The art of Blocking and Passing

Filtering Light

To get the best contrast and resolution for your machine vision image, often a specific color, or wavelength, of light is needed. With a filter you can block all unwanted wavelengts of light, making sure that only the required wavelenth(s) will register with your camera.

Inspections can be significantly influenced by ambient light. Overhead factory lights or sunlight are the predominant contributors to this ambient light interference. They both affect the quality and consistency of inspections. Task lighting in workstations or even lighting specifically designed for machine vision in neighbouring work cells can also impact the visual results.

To minimize these influences, and to maximize contrast, color improvement and resolution, we offer a wide range of different, high-quality filters.
