Capture and Focus

Lenses work alongside the illumination system and filter. Lenses can compensate or correct for object size, working distance or optical faults such as distortion and vignetting. As lenses greatly influence the overall quality of the resulting image, a correct choise of lens is essential.

This choice depends on the application requirements. Factors like field of view (FOV), working distance, resolution and lighting conditions should be taken into consideration

For optimal results, it’s also crucial to select a lens that matches the sensor size of your camera. This prevents vignetting or a decrease in image quality.
